This work was premiered on November 28, 1943 to great acclaim with Hélène Bouvier, Charles Panzera, Eugene Bigot and Concerts Lamoureux in the Grande Salle Pleyel. Alain Decruck's collection contains a program and press reviews. Alain Decruck's collection also contains an incomplete version of the piano reduction (missing songs 4-6 in Part 2), an insert and earlier piano/vocal scores. The full score is missing. Alain remembers hearing the work as a boy on the radio so it's possible that a recording is extant.
